- Pride in Practice is a quality assurance support service delivered by LGBT Foundation that strengthens and develops a GP Practice’s relationship with their lesbian, gay and bisexual patients. You can find out more at LGBT Foundation.
- It supports GP practices to make improvements in health outcomes for their lesbian, gay and bisexual (LGB) patients, as well as strengthen their engagement with, and understanding of, that community.
- Swan Lane Medical Centre has achieved the Pride In Practice GOLD Award to celebrate their dedication to delivering an excellent service to all patients.
- The Pride in Practice award demonstrates our Practice’s commitment and dedication to ensuring a fully inclusive patient-centred service. The award is attained through a short, efficient and focussed self-assessment process which highlights our service’s strengths and any areas where LGBT Foundation can offer practice support to develop.
- Our Equality and Diversity policies are updated annually and our staff have mandatory training every year. We aim to provide a confidential service and respect the rights of all our patients and help them access the care they need.
- We do not discriminate on gender, gender identity, marital status, pregnancy and maternity, sexual orientation, race, colour, nationality, religion or belief, age or disability.
