People living outside of the practice's area are now being accepted for registration as an NHS patient but the Practice will not provide home visiting.

These patients are able to access all services provided by the practice, except home visits.  Patients requiring a home visit to access urgent medical care while at home will do this through NHS 111.  In these circumstances NHS 111 will direct patients to the local service that has been established by NHS England.  This local service could be at a GP practice near to where the patient lives, the local walk in centre or urgent care centre, A&E or minor injuries unit.  The local service will then decide if an urgent face to face appointment with a healthcare professional or if a home visit is needed which will be based on individual circumstances.

This scheme may be of interest to patients who regularly work in the Bolton area but who live in a different area and find it difficult to visit their local GP.
